Rector's Farewell Message to Graduates

Dear Graduates,
On
behalf of all faculty and staff, I congratulate you on your remarkable success.
I believe that you will continue with your successful achievements gained during
your stay here in the next phase of your life, through your valuable
contributions to your country and humanity.
I
would like you to know that you will stand out as representatives/ambassadors of EMU in countries and institutions you will live in and work and your thoughts
and ideas will be much valued. Regardless of the circumstances, you will directly
express your thoughts and ideas that will take your institutions and countries
forward, even if they will not be favoured from time to time and you will act
with the awareness that owning the diploma of Eastern Mediterranean University
requires this.
The fundamental task of our academic members is to educate you as free, conscientious and well-equipped individuals, the path drawn by the Great Leader Atatürk, and to ensure your transformation through helping you internalize these values. I believe that you will transfer these values to the next generations through the high-quality education you received here in EMU and I once again remind you that this is your fundamental duty. You have the ability to solve the problems you will encounter in the future, and the solution of each problem will open up new horizons for you, and when you look back, your difference, your change/transformation and your new reality will all emerge. In other words, when you solve problems, you will realize your Eastern Mediterranean identity and you will say 'Thank God, I am from Eastern Mediterranean University".
Life is not only about work, of course ... It is necessary to live life freely and to live the moment ... Putting Carpe Diem mentioned in Poet Horace's work Odes (B.C. 23) at the center of life and being able to remain in the moment freely in the light of your new truth and sharing it with your friends... Of course, you will think about the past, and you will make plans about the future in that direction. You will also chase the truth, the truth that you are looking for. Being able to stay in the moment, in other words, living the 'Present', is discovering the beauty of your loved ones without neglecting them and giving them the chance to discover you ... The pleasure, taste and excitement of this mutual discovery are the purest, cleanest human emotions that will feed your soul. Just like you sharing the joy of your graduation, this special success, with your loved ones.
Regardless of where you are, you will always be an indispensable part of the Eastern Mediterranean University family and your success will be our honor and pride.
You will always be in our minds and hearts.

Venue: Lala Mustafa Paşa Sport Center
Ceremony Number Badge Distribution
Before the ceremony rehearsal, ceremony seat number badges can be obtained from the Faculty Administrative Officers and assistants at sport center.
The Graduation Yearbook (Associate & Bachelor's)
Time & Place: 9:00 a.m. (Sport Center)
Graduation Ceremony Rehearsal (Master's & PhD)
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Venue: Rauf Raif Denktaş Cultural and Congress Center
Ring services will be departing from the Activity Center, Sabanci Dormitory and EMU 2 Dormitory at 12:30 p.m. on the Rehearsal Day.

Ring services will be departing from the Activity Center, Sabanci Dormitory and EMU 2 Dormitory at 1:30 p.m. on the Graduation Day.
Graduation Reception
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Venue: Reception Hall-Rauf Raif Denktaş Cultural and Congress Center
Entrance is free and family members along with graduates are all welcome to the cocktail. Appropriate dress code is expected during the cocktail. Registration is compulsory.
